The BITE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to effective, evidence-based feeding intervention for children with pediatric feeding disorders, including ARFID.

In addition to providing financial support, we are committed to increasing awareness and education around feeding challenges—helping families and professionals better recognize, understand, and respond to these often misunderstood disorders.

We support families of children with significant feeding challenges who require structured, evidence-based intervention and are unable to fully access care due to financial limitations.

We also aim to support the broader community—caregivers, medical providers, and educators—through increased awareness and education around feeding disorders.

The BITE Foundation provides financial assistance for evidence-based feeding intervention programs. This may include intensive, outpatient, or multidisciplinary treatment models that align with best practices for pediatric feeding disorders.

We also prioritize sharing information about what effective treatment looks like, so families can make informed decisions about care.

No. To ensure funds are used specifically for treatment, all scholarship funds are paid directly to the service provider on behalf of the family.

This model helps ensure that funds are used exclusively for high-quality feeding intervention services and allows the Foundation to maintain accountability to donors while supporting families in a meaningful, targeted way.

It also reinforces our commitment to promoting effective, evidence-based care.

Our process is designed to minimize the burden on families. The initial application is brief and focused on understanding your child’s needs and current barriers to care. Finalists may be asked to provide additional documentation before funding decisions are made.

Scholarship awards are based on a combination of clinical need, financial need, and alignment with evidence-based treatment.

We also consider whether the recommended treatment approach reflects current best practices in feeding intervention.

Funding is awarded based on available resources and is not guaranteed to be ongoing. Families are welcome to reapply as needed.

At this time, applications must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. Providers may support families in completing the application process.
